Rev. Bob Parnell - Pastor
Pastor Bob and his wife Michele came to Black Oak Baptist in 1998.This December, they will celebrate ten years with us.
The Lord has truly blessed their ministry. The church has gone from an average attendance of 30 to an average of 175-200. On special services the attendance will go to over 300.
Pastor Bob was saved at the age of 13,and soon after was called to the gospel ministry. He was ordained at age 20, and received his BA in theology in 1983 from Sauk Village Baptist Bible College.
Prior to Black Oak Baptist, pastor has served at two churches both of which were in the state of Illinois.
The Parnell's have one daughter, Zoe, who was born in February of this year. Pastor and his family reside in Portage.
